Since its opening in 1997, Octane has been at the forefront of merging of food, fun, and technology. Coining the term "InterLounge", Octane was one of the first 5 internet cafes in the country and the first to offer free Wi-Fi in Rockford. The advent of wireless technology, combined with signature coffee blends, allows professionals and artists alike to get wired, and go wireless. 

Octane was honored to receive the 1998 Heart of Rockford award for “Best New Business”.
